Final Hour of the Dragonfly
I went to see Linn yesterday, and we had a blast! Went to some second hand shops, had sushi, photographed. At one point, she found this dragonfly. I didn’t see it at first and asked what she was photographing, however, she did not answer – afraid to scare it while she crept closer. Soon we discovered that it was probably about to die though, cause it did not fly away, it hardly even moved.
Never been this close to a dragonfly before - it was pretty amazing, they are quite beautiful. Insects do creep me out at the same time hah. Shot with my 50mm, and the macro shots are done by freelensing and holding the lens backwards – which is the source of the somewhat odd but beautiful light, I had some light leaks.
My new friend
He/she is so cute. Chased insects (and tried eating them, it did not seem to taste well though), got scared at every little sound.. poor thing, it was so small! No collar or nothing, I do hope he/she has a home :/ A little step at a time, I got to come closer though, she (it really felt like a she) got to smell me, then I got to touch her a little, then pet her some more and in the end I even got to lift her up and carry her and hug her :3 I really love cats and I want one so bad…
