Livlinan.org

10 March, 2012

So, we’ve been working for 2 weeks in groups – together with people who study advertising. In my group there was me and Ali (photographers), Emil as Art Director and Kajsa-Stina as a copywriter.

We got an assignment to make a campaign that would draw attention to, and increase the traffic to a site called Livlinan (lifeline). They work with people that have near and dear people that suffer from mental illness in some way, because they feel that they to are important, they feel bad but often forget about themselves because they work so hard to help their loved ones.

We decided that we did not want to use pictures of people or illustrate certain feelings, we wanted to make it clean, bright and hopeful. Something most people could recognize themselves in – regardless of age, gender and ethnicity. We (mostly Kajsa-Stina, the copy) pinned down words describing what a person close to someone with mental illness could feel – and then we decided for the positive opposite of those words (pictures are shown further down in the post).

The Art of Coffee

12 January, 2012

So, a few days ago I decided to do a stillife photoshoot with coffee. Been inspired by various photographers and pictures lately, I want to shoot more stillife in a lifestyle kind of way, I also want to shoot people in a more lifestyle kind of way – we’ll see how that goes.

Anywho, below is the result of the coffee shoot. I think I will print 3-4 of them, frame them and put on my wall actually, they work very well together, as a series.

E&E Glasses

4 January, 2012

So, these are my new glasses from E&E Glasses, which is a Swedish brand, from the northern parts of Sweden – made by Erik and Emilia. All their glasses have names like cities in the northern Sweden. Mine are called Umeå (I have an aunt living there!) Wood (cause they’re a matte, brown color).

I won these in a competition at the blog of the fashion blogger and model, Ebba Zingmark (whom too, is from Umeå!) and who has modeled for E&E Glasses. If you’re in to fashion, you really should check out her lookbook. She’s also very environmental, being a vegetarian + she’s started a shop with friend where they sell second hand clothes.

Anywho, I am so glad I won these – they’re amazing! I don’t need glasses, but I have always thought that it looks so darn good, and now I have my own pair to wear! My new favourite accessory? I think so!

Office Style: Like A Boss

3 January, 2012

Another christmas gift that I am so darn happy that I got is my new ipad leather case which mum gave me.

It is both good looking, and practical. It’s also very much.. me, with the color of it and the feel and texture. I really like the folders in it, and the space for a pen. It’s a good way to keep track of important papers from school and in my work as a photographer, it also makes me look serious and professional (if you ask me haha), and it just… looks amazing. Since it’s leather, it’ll last forever, unlike my old, crappy one, and it will only look better in time. I don’t think I’ll ever replace this – so it’s also economical!

Sorry about the fact that I didn’t clean my screen – it’s just so boring ;)

OH MY GOD I JUST WON SOME AWESOME SHIT!

15 September, 2011

A gaming association called Sverok held a photo-contest a while back, to lift board games, card games and such and give them more attention (which I think is awesome). The big prize was 5000:- (£500) at a shop called Cyberphoto. They had different categories like “close up”, “card games” and so forth. You know what? I WON! I FUCKING WON THE BIG PRIZE! I won in both those categories, so I get 5000:- to spend at Cyberphoto (new lenses, here I come!) and also 500:- (£50) to spend at a bookshoop called SF (stands for Sience Fiction). I Cannot believe it happend but I am so glad and super excited oh my god!

This is the image I submitted, and won with:

I am not super content with it, from a photographic point of view – but I guess it showed the game MTG (Magic the Gathering) very well and pleased the judges etc, as well as fit the categories “close up” and “card games” pretty well. Anyway, I am so glad – both that I won and that Sverok had this contest, I hope games like this got more attention – cause they’re fun! I play Magic so that’s why I chose to photograph it :)

Amber – Allowing happiness to come through

8 August, 2011

Such a lovely word. Such a lovely stone. I like gemstones, I always have. There are many beautiful ones and they’ve always felt powerful to me, I do believe they have different qualities.

Amber is one of my favourites. It’s just so beautiful. Especially in contrast with silver. I have a silver necklace with an amber stone (will photograph it someday) and this weekend I found and bought an amazing ring.

“Amber brings good luck. It is associated with time, cycles and longevity. Amber is also regarded as being highly sensual and magnetic. Amber insures very long enjoyment of the qualities that make the wearer attractive. Amber has long been associated with healing energy and mental stimulation, and is said to balance aggressive traits.”

and I will wear them always.
